Christopher Bär is a founding member and Managing Director of MPEP where he is primarily responsible for investment advisory including due diligence on target funds. He is also an Executive Board member of the parent company, Munich Private Equity AG. In this role, he oversees all key areas related to the institutional business. Christopher worked within several affiliates of the business group since 2008.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (“Diplom-Kaufmann”) and participated in the largest European academic research project at its time regarding value creation in private equity buyouts. Christopher has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) professional designation and worked for more than 15 years in the private equity business.
While he enjoys the fast-paced and intense day-to-day business, Christopher seeks the opposite in his leisure time. He loves meditation and exploring the mountains with his family. One of his favorite hikes is up the Coburger Hütte on Zugspitze.
